The mission of the Spalding County 治安官办公室 is to maintain social order within prescribed ethical and constitutional limits, while providing professional law enforcement services. To attain this goal this Agency enforces the law in a fair and impartial manner, recognizing both the statutory and judicial limitations of police authority and the constitutional rights of all persons. This Agency recognizes that no law enforcement agency can operate at its maximum potential without supportive input from the citizens we serve.

This Agency actively solicits and encourages the cooperation of all citizens to reduce and limit the opportunities for crime and to facilitate the maximum use of resources. The directive for each employee of the Spalding County 治安官办公室 is to serve the public to the best of their ability. Each member of the Department shall be honest and abide by and uphold the laws of the State of Georgia.

All members of the Department shall keep their private lives unsullied as an example to all; maintain courageous calm in the face of danger, 嘲笑, or ridicule; develop self-restraint; and be constantly mindful of the welfare of others. The Spalding County 治安官办公室 has been awarded State Certification by the Georgia Police Accreditation Coalition and Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police.

We examined the agency thoroughly, and policy wise we wiped the slate clean and started from scratch. We put in place a standard operating procedures manual and policies that raised the bar in the way we conduct business, and continually monitor our progress and adherence to those policies and procedures. We rebuilt the way the agency operates and at the same time changed the way we interact and involve ourselves with the community, 沟通, 努力建立信任. 根据GACP网站, “State Certification status represents a significant professional achievement. The GACP has identified standards that are felt to be essential to the efficient and effective operation of law enforcement agencies. The standards provide a detailed blueprint for professional enforcement. They are credible, realistic, flexible and effective. The standards incorporate contemporary professional thought and practices in the State and will ensure the goal of increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of Georgia law enforcement agencies.
